All my kids attended Mooloolah State School, and l just love contributing to our beautiful community. OpShop Day ManagerDebbie Philpott

I've lived in Mooloolah since 1993 and started working in the OpShop from the first day in opened in 2009.  I am now a day manager.  I love the customers and have made some really good friends over my time here.

The community spirit is what I love the most and I managed to clothe my entire family from our awesome OpShop.

Committee MemberFiona CranFi Cran moved to Mooloolah in 2003 with her hubby and 4 children and wouldn't live anywhere else! In the early years way before the Op Shop along with a small group she ran a Kids Club at the centre and Youth group at the Hall. She volunteered for 14 years teaching RI in Mooloolah School and now works as a School Counsellor in Caloundra. Her combined studies of Mental Health Nursing and a Theology degree help her care for people holistically and she is passionate about supporting those in need in the community in her role as Community Liason Officer.
Committee MemberCatriona Harding
I've been on the committee a fairly short time and have met and made some lovely friends here.  I am amazed at the dedication and care that each of the committee members, op shop personnel and volunteers display at our little Centre. I joined the committee to further advance my belief in our community nurturing a hub for sustainability and learning self reliant skills. As an example, our Op shop is a great place to start cycling preloved goods back into homes and  keep out of landfill.

For a number of years now I have facilitated the Mooloolah Eudlo Harvest Swap.  This is a gathering of people that come together to swap homemade or homegrown goods. It's very popular and I now help other communities start up their own swaps.  I have a few ideas that I would love to work on with the committee and hope those ideas will be seeds of permanent value to our community.
My interests are; community resilience workshops and information, cookery - particularly preserving and international cookery, the environment - particularly the preservation of our green spaces and waterways in Mooloolah and surrounds.
Other interests are family, art and music, growing food and gardening.

I think we are entering an exciting time at the Mooloolah Community Centre and I'm looking forward to working hand in hand with committee and community.
Committee MemberSam Tucker

Sam Tucker has been a Mooloolah local since 2017. Within this time Sam has been an active member of the younger community, implementing activities such as bush play in the local Mooloolah river catchment as well as skate park tours.

Sam also took on the challenge of cans for cars which was a a project helping people in the community have safe transport for quality of life. This was for people who could not afford a car, for whatever circumstance by supplying them free vehicles paid for by recycle cans and the kind support of community and local suppliers.

Sam has been a member of the Events team at MVCA since 2022 and is excited for building on local events for the community
