PICTUREPOSITIONNAMEbiography
PresidentKerry Hall

I commenced volunteering in 2017 assisting in the sorting room and relieving in our shop when required. After a year or so I became a Day Manager a roll I filled until 2020, I then moving into valuing antique and vintage items for sale in our shop and online.

In 2021 I nominated as President for MVCA nd subsequently was voted in as President, a role I fill to present day. As President I continue to value items and sit on the management committee where I assist others in their roles. I also engage with tradesmen; acquiring quotes for upgrading the centre and facilities for the future.

I volunteer for every event held by MVCA. With the recent addition of the Men's Shed, upgrading our grounds has become a priority, and there are some great initiatives on the horizon. I find being
a volunteer is rewarding and fulfilling role and I take pride in our successes.

Committee MemberCatriona Harding
I've been on the committee a fairly short time and have met and made some lovely friends here.  I am amazed at the dedication and care that each of the committee members, op shop personnel and volunteers display at our little Centre. I joined the committee to further advance my belief in our community nurturing a hub for sustainability and learning self reliant skills. As an example, our Op shop is a great place to start cycling preloved goods back into homes and  keep out of landfill.

For a number of years now I have facilitated the Mooloolah Eudlo Harvest Swap.  This is a gathering of people that come together to swap homemade or homegrown goods. It's very popular and I now help other communities start up their own swaps.  I have a few ideas that I would love to work on with the committee and hope those ideas will be seeds of permanent value to our community.
My interests are; community resilience workshops and information, cookery - particularly preserving and international cookery, the environment - particularly the preservation of our green spaces and waterways in Mooloolah and surrounds.
Other interests are family, art and music, growing food and gardening.

I think we are entering an exciting time at the Mooloolah Community Centre and I'm looking forward to working hand in hand with committee and community.
Committee MemberSam Tucker

Sam Tucker has been a Mooloolah local since 2017. Within this time Sam has been an active member of the younger community, implementing activities such as bush play in the local Mooloolah river catchment as well as skate park tours.
