Community Assist & Contribution

Community Contribution

The Mooloolah Community Centre contributes to MANY and varied community causes.Through our Community Support Program we assist families who by no fault of their own, find themselves in difficult circumstances: eg: loss of job, family breakdown, physical and mental issues etc.We provide food vouchers from the local IGA supermarket, petrol vouchers to assist those travelling to medical  appointments,Centrelink interviews, etc, If the request is outside the scope of our programs referrals are made to other services/organisations best able to assist the families or individual. All of the funds used for the Community Support programs are raised from the Community Op Shop revenue

The Centre provides space for activities, promotes local causes, supports development of local young leaders, holds community stalls at local events, and so much more.

We have dispersed to the community in June 2023:-

  • Mooloolah State School Chappie Program
  • Eudlo School Chappie Program
  • Mooloolah Valley Art Group
  • Mah-jong Group at the Mooloolah P
  • Nambour Special School
  • Maleny Neighbourhood Centre
  • The Clothes Bin
  • Morris House Landsborough
  • Twinnies Pelican Rescue
  • Fusion Youth Services
  • Mooloolah Soccer Club
  • Maleny Neighbourhood Centre

We have also sponsored a young Para Olympian. We continue our support to the Mooloolah State Primary School with our yearly Bursaries and ongoing assistance to financially disadvantaged families in need.

We step up to any challenge that presents, and are always open to ideas where we can continue to contribute to and develop our community.

Mooloolah Football Club
Dear Secretary,
Will you pass onto your committee our heartfelt thanks for a very generous second annual donation to help disadvantaged families and their kids play football at Mooloolah.
We realise how extremely lucky we are to have support from your Community Association for the second year in a row. It assists us to include children in our teams who might otherwise miss out on physical and psychological benefits of playing a team sport.

With Thanks
Charne
